RWD Extended Cab Colorado for $25k? Deal.
Its even got the V6 motor.
I'd need a bed liner and cover, and some side steps. All of which can be bought aftermarket for way cheaper than GM sells them from the factory.
I have never noticed how much adding 4wd added to the final price. I don't think the I4 can be optioned with it though, so you're paying for the V6 and 4WD equipment, so I guess the price makes sense.

ill spend 5k more and get a nice Silverado

Congratulations, for 5k more you get a single cab, short box Silverado LS RWD with the 4.3L V6.
This argument has started since this trucks introduction and I don't get it.

Yes, That looks very nice.

no you can get the 5.3 for under 30k. besides a short box std cab is the only way to roll. I was disappointed the colorado doesn't offer a single cab

I made a base Silverado with a V8 for $28k... i get the place of the Colorado, but I prefer the looks of the old one better.

Yeah, a base work truck with ugly black bumpers, and probably no other options.

I don't need much... Just a V8 and Satellite radio... But what ever. Since when has a truck needed to be a fashion statement?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:03 |

It doesn't, but big ass chunks of black plastic are ugly no matter what.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:04 |

Well whatever, it doesn't bother me. Sure it's not the best looking thing ever. But the Colorado also has big ass chunks of black plastic..

There isn't a problem in the provided scenario.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:05 |

Now you're catching on. You can get more for less w/out 4x4.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:05 |

Yeah, but it's not the whole grille, front bumper, and rear bumper.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:06 |

Yes there is: 4.3L V6.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:06 |

I'd prefer 4x4 but it's whatever

That v6 has the same output as my v8
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:09 |

Meh, if I'm buying a full size truck, it needs a V8.
I also have a strong hatred for the 4.3L V6 as of late.

Here's an LS I just made that's under $30K
Looks nice? Yes. But if it's a work truck or being used as a truck, I don't see why it matters whether it has chrome on the front or black plastic...

Still more expensive, worse looking, and not as practical as the Colorado.

This is a completely different animal than your 4.3. This is LT based (you know new LT, seriously GM wtf why, this just makes it confusing). Yours is an antique, basically a Gen I smallblock minus two cylinders.
But, yeah. I usually just check the v8 box, because why not. I would seriously consider this v6 after a test drive.

In which way is it not as practical?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:22 |

Four seats to three?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 21:24 |

How does it compare in terms of bed space and payload? You know stuff that matters in a truck.

You mean two things the average driver of either will NEVER get close to?

Sadly. This is what pisses me off about the normal truck driver these days.
Sorry if I'm coming across like a dick. We actually use our truck as a truck so I guess my thoughts are kind of different when it comes to this. I like the Colorado but I'd rather have the Sierra/Silverado.
